A Golden Cage
A tiny little pea she was 11 inches long
Her first cry was, her best ever song
She was sleeping, you felt something was wrong
Scared of even touching her, although she was strong
A sweet baby girl now 10 months old
she grabbed on to the couch, she could hold
Waddling legs still feeling so bold
Her first steps, Let the story unfold
Sweet baby girl when she was 2
running , blabbering.. a toddler around you
She went out the door before you knew
Next moment you saw.. she had a big boo-boo
The same little girl is now 3 feet tall
Gathers her friends Barbie and n' all
She went to the preschool in '02 fall
Between you and her now there was a wall
A big girl now is 7 years, 4 feet
Copying supermodels shes an acting elite
her smile so wonderful with missing two teeth
So proud, wide smile of their 'heartbeat'
When she as 10 .. her first bicycle ride
Daddy was running behind her with each long stride
you released the seat "I will hold" yes, you lied
No one can be her perpetual guide
Her first stage performance.. a wonderful song
She wanted you to sit there and just come along
Asking to be there, how can it be wrong
Encouragement to fly high.. will make her strong
Now A gorgeous maiden shes was standing shivering
At night on the bus stop, moon light lingering
City Lights, her first job, late night glittering
Waiting for her call, "something is wrong" they kept whispering
She will always be their tiny tiny pea
Reaching their hearts without any key
With all experience she is strong as she could be
It was and will be difficult to set her free
Every such moment she stepped out of the zone
You always felt that she was gone
Her wisdom grew to set the tone
It takes some falls to be so grown
Its all part and parcel with age
Whether it is house or the performance stage
Love affection encouragement comfort and courage
A wonderful trodden path could lead to a golden cage
Change is difficult change is new
Everyone needs it.. understood by a few
When everything is perfect get your cue
